For you who can swedish, check out the link.

scroll to about 13.35 into the clip.

http://svt.se/svt/road/Classic/shared/mediacenter/index.jsp?d=12573&a=176281

For you who don't understand what the heck he is talking about (this is about right i think):
"The not so very much known popband Low Season Combo from Växjö have been ownered to open up for the american band The Lemonheads when they comes to Sweden for 2 shows later this year. The contact was made through internet and after have listened to Low Season Combos music the Lemonheads wanted them as support act."

It was broadcast on SVT(svt24), the national wide channel.

A thing in Smålandsposten today, a local paper:

http://www.smp.se/article/723993_105-0-0-0

For you who dont manage swedish, its about Low Season Combo and how we reacted when being asked to do the shows.. quit fun to read hehe. Here's a quick translation:

"Low Season Combo supports The Lemonheads

Getting shows at Trägårn Gothenburg and Debaser Medis Stockholm is uge. But it is 10 times bigger to play there as support to the absolute favorites - like the Växjö-band Low Season Combo does when Lemonheads will be guesting Sweden in beginning of Nov.

The american band Lemonheads with Evan Dando in front have for very long time been Low Season Combos big favorites. Maybe mostly for singer Fredrik Solfors and bassplayer Jesper Petersson. So when Evan Dando last week left a message through the myspace-site where the supportquestion occured, Jesper got almost a chock. He saw it in the middle of the night and send a text-message sms to Fredrik who logged in and could verify, it was true.

-We sat up trembling in fron of the computers all night. And answered ofcourse yes, and that it would be a dream come true, says Fredrik. Then they have gotten the question verified this weekend, and they are booked as opening act at Trägårn Göteborg the 1rst Nov and at Debaser Medis the 2nd Nov.

-We have been grown up with them.. I remember when we saw them at Roskilde once for a very long time ago, i got goose pimples! He has got that darn good voice and good songs, says Fredrik about Lemonheads, who breaked through during the grunge- and powerpop-era -92 with the record It's a shame about Ray, and they have also just come out with a new record.

It will surely be a bit nervous to be supporting Lemonheads, admits Fredrik. -Just to meet Evan Dando is a bit more uge than meeting God.

Fredrik also tells me that the band recently signed a deal with a Japanese Label the will release the album Low Season Combo Japanese edition in Februari.

thought it might be better posted in here...

Back to real life.

This was for sure the weirdest 2 days of my life. And of course weird in a good way ;-)

I dont know what to write really..Just to be asked to open up for The Lemonheads it self is ofcourse a dream come true in any way you like. But there was one other thing that moved us in the band if possible even deeper into our hearts...

Göteborg Trädgårn
First time i was there. A uge, very cool venue. maybe the weather scared off  some of the people from coming, it could have been a lot more people there. A big hug and a lot of cheers to all people at Trädgårn, making us really feel welcomed. We had dinner with the band
and the crew. And Nick Ainsworth as well. Evan and his wife where not there, they came later. What a wonderful bunch of people!!!!

About 30min before we should go on, our merch-guy grabbed me and pulled me aside... He said, that Japanese girl over there, can that be the one that emailed you that she should come the 2 shows?? A few weeks before the show we got a mail from this girl from Japan, that had seen on our website that we where opening up for Lemonheads and wrote, "I want to come to the shows, but having trouble buying the tickets from where i am in Japan...". Of course i didn't really think she actually would show up, i mean, she lives on the other side of the globe... I promised her that if she comes to the shows we will make sure shes on the guestlist. And there she was...man, when i think about it now while writing the goosebumps keeps coming...She was so very glad to meet us, it was heartbraking to see. And as we usually do in these situations, we give them a complete Low Season Kit     The least we could do...
Anyway, we started our set 20.00 and after five songs we where done.
2 new songs and 3 from the album. Judged by the merchsales we did pretty good

Then it was time for Nick and his guitar - nice warm and careing guy. And really great music, check it out you who haven't heard 'm. To bad I didn't see his complete set, we hade to move away our stuff so we could be back for Lemonheads later..

And the Lemonheads set were great as well, first time i saw the songs with a full band. I talked briefly with Evan and Elisabeth just before they went on stage. HAHA yeah right, just before they got on, Evan suggested to the bandmates they should play the setlist backwards wich they where up for. He also pointed out that he would like to turn on every pedal right from the start, and said, "-I'll do that and we'll go from there.." And it became pretty cool i think..

Just before we should be heading away, our Japanese friend wanted to talk to all bandmembers, she came into the dressingroom and handed out personal gifts, Japanese tee and fortune cookies and a small bag, a good luck charm, to everyone in our band as well as sweets and rise snacks. And of course some pictures where taken   I was glad to see in my giftbag a bottle of Saké

We slept at our drummers brother who lives in Göteborg. On the way home, he warned us several times he had to go up early for work. When we got there, he offered us different kinds of liquers.    Some went to sleep, i enjoyed one or four..

Stockholm Debaser Medis
A very boring road to Sthlm from Göteborg. We were late due to stocking when closing in to Sthlm. But - we manage to do our soundcheck and it felt nice. A lot of friends of ours came to the show and it was fun, and it went pretty well i think. Didn't have time to speak with everyone though..feel a bit bad about that..We moved our stuff and saw the most of the Lemonheads-show and by now it was all crowded and a lot of singing here and there.. cool.
Afterwards it was time to say goodbye to Nana, our Japanese friend and she was so sad, it was hard to see, some tears and hugs and promises "we'll see each other again" - it was over.

At least we know now that everyone in the Lemonheads crew, including the driver of the buss have a copy of our album, so they have something nice to listen to on their way on the rest of the tour... And Nana... she was so glad to see us live...and now she has done that, and she aslo has a lot of Low Season stuff... The topic on our 6h-drive home was of course about the shows, but mostly about the wounderful Nana. We love you!!

/thats about it i think..Jeppe
