Do you not fancy having another go at it, seeing as though your version has already been accepted?  :D

Sorry, all. You may have to re-green Dawn Can't Decide. I've recorded three different versions, and I'm not happy with any of them. And I don't have the time or motivation to work on it any more. If anyone else wants a go, it's all yours.

(If you're interested, I can upload the unfinished ones, and if you feel strongly enough about any of them, I can do a bit more work on them. Otherwise, it's back to the drawing board, I'm afraid).

Definitely send on the unfinished ones and we'll have a listen.

OK, I'm uploading a zipped file of all three versions (approx 75MB in total, .aiff files - hope that's alright). Let me know which, if any, you'd like me to work more on (bare in mind that they are VERY rough drafts).

Quick update here, as things have been a little quiet lately.

We are expecting several tracks in soon, but my guess is that the Lick and Car Button Cloth deadlines will need to be extended. We'll see where we are by the time the November 15th deadline hits.

Fingers crossed we'll be able to get at least one more album out in time for Christmas! :D

The November deadline is here, and we're still unfortunately a bit short on the two albums we were aiming to have finished.

There are several bands working on Lick and Car Button Cloth tracks at the moment, but - alas - a Christmas release isn't looking like happening right now. I've now extended both deadlines to December 31st. It would be great to get an album out to tie in with the release of Varshons.

I've also revised the list to make things a little clearer - a fair few bands that were interested have moved on and/or split up, and I think the orange tag on tracks was putting a lot of people off.

So, the colour-coding is now very simple: red tracks we have, green tracks we don't. :D

List looks a bit sparse now though.

Hi both. Got a finished version of 'Stove' from Lovey heading your way this week from the Moccasin Bedlam camp. It's taken ages as we all live in different places these days! Just awaiting final corrections from the rest of the band and then we're done.

I have finished my November commitments, and I have a new keyboard to play around with, so hopefully, I'll be able to finish my work on Dawn Can't Decide AT LAST. I have an idea for it, but have no idea if it will work. Wish me luck. It will hopefully be with you before the year is out. fingers crossed.

Just wanted to check that you'd received Moccasin Bedlam's version of Stove? Not heard anything back from you.

Although progress has been seemingly slow of late, and we don't yet have any more albums completely accounted for, I'm pleased to report that the covers project overall still looks set to be 50% complete (in terms of the number of tracks that are completed and accepted) by the end of 2008.

Once Christmas and new year are out of the way, I'll be looking to make another big push to try and find suitors for some of the tracks still outstanding.

There's also the very real, very frightening possibility that I'll be throwing my own hat in the ring with a couple of contributions to help chivvy things along a bit. :D

Two years later, and I'm FINALLY uploading a version of Dawn Can't Decide. Let me know if it makes the grade. I have a back up version waiting in the wings if need be... ;)

Sorry it's taken so long. Now time to look at those green tracks and choose another one (I have 2 left in my allowance!)

I'll try not to take so long next time...

Absolute final deadline is now December 31st 2009.

This will very, very definitely not be extended.

All restrictions on the number of covers you can submit have also been removed - feel free to record fucking EVERYTHING.

As I said in another thread, if we have full albums completed, we'll release them. If we come up short, we'll look at releasing more compilations.

Haha did a quick cover when it came out, but it's not good enough. I could give it another try
