Covers of any B-sides or non-album tracks are acceptable on the proviso that you also contribute at least 1 album track as well.

How to submit...

Tracks should be submitted in WAV format. They can be sent via email, or using http://www.yousendit.com or http://www.sendspace.com to sfcp@evandando.co.uk - alternatively, if you wish to send your tracks on CD, please PM or email me and I will supply the postal address.

The rules...

These have now changed - there is no longer a restriction on how many songs you can submit for each album.
We reserve the right not to use songs that are sent in, but judging by the quality of submissions we've had in the past, we doubt we'll have to say no often!
Once we receive a song that we're going to use, that track will be marked in red type in the list. Once a track is marked in red, submissions of said tracks may be considered as bonus tracks, but our priority is absolutely the tracks marked in green.

V, V IMPORTANT:
By submitting a track to us, you agree it for it to be distributed via the site. If your track is chosen to be used (and we will let you know ASAP on receipt of tracks), you agree not to make the track available in full elsewhere. Snippets, of no longer than 45 secs (or a third of the song, whichever is the shorter), are fine however.
Please note that if your submissions are made available in full, this may harm your chances of having your tracks included.

Why would you do that? the quality that's lost won't be gained again :???: and by converting it another time you loose even more quality, even if you need to send it in as a wave file... your better off just sending the mp3

I thought most programs allowed you to choose which format? Even the crappy little sound recorder accessory in Windows lets you choose between mp3, .wav and some other formats.

:D Fantastic news !

Question : What about the songs we did for volume 1 and 2 that didn't make it on the albums? Do you still have them ? If so, do my covers of Fucked Up or Don't Tell Yourself (not more than one from one album) and It's All True make any chance ?

Am sure we still have the CDs you sent, will dig them out later today. We're happy to give them another listen for the new project. :)

so i just wanted to add .... that when we make something with sound (here in denmark) we dont accept mp3´s becouse of the sound quality .... so i wish for all of you out that that you stick to recording in wave formate ....it says it self: wave-50mbs big .... mp3s-4mbs ...ALOT SOUND LOST

best regards

Yep, definitely steer clear of mp3 for your recordings.

Pretty much every bit of software related to sound offers the option of recording to wav (in many cases it's the default option), and regardless of what many people think, there IS a big difference in the sound quality.

MP3 is a method of compression, and by definition this means that the performance you're putting in is being partly removed simply for the convenience of having a smaller file size.

As a rule, if you know how to record your track to mp3, it should be as easy (if not easier) to record to wav.

If you're having problems, post up and I'm sure I or others will be able to help you.

Incidentally, sending your files in lossless formats such as .flac or .shn is fine, it's just the lossy formats (mp3, ogg, wmv etc) that are a no-no.

so Sövsö is talking today about witch song to pick ...the first picks "semifinals" are

repeat (good song, and a little out of the ordenary of sövsö's style)
mallo cup (remainds me a little of grant harts songs from the last husker du pariod, so it could be)
it's about time (worth the talk ...but i dont think this is going to be it)
break me (i think it will be this song that sövsö will be covering)
losing my mind (could be fun to do)
somethings missing (punkish ...so i dont think itll be it ..but its worth the talk)
rudderless (has some to break me issues, so it migth be it also )

.....cant wait to find out witch song we are picking ,.,,..

best regards kenny .....

Turning a few more orange today, two people have seperately emailed about The Great Big No, so just want to say it's a good idea if people mention tracks in this thread instead of/as well as emailing, as I won't be able to do instant updates from emails, and I want to avoid too many duplicates...
