Just spotted the extension, but thinking the date was today means I've finally got another song off to you. You should have a yousendit.com link on your email.

Cheers,

Methinks Mr Villain needs to wind his neck in a little.

As Sparkyhorse says, everything you need to know is in post 1 of this thread.

I've cleaned up this section of the forum - must admit I can see why the various threads specifically about the Lick and CBC tributes were a tad confusing.

No love for the self-titled album? Loads were bugging me to open submissions for it a while back, but I haven't heard a peep from anybody regarding any track on it for about 6 months now.

MySpace, previously the best way of finding bands to be involved, is a spammy mess these days, so I've just started a Facebook group. Not a great deal there at the moment, but hopefully it should lively up in the next week or so

Can I confirm, is the version of Waking Up that you have locked out my version, or another one?

Getting a bit ridiculous, I admit, but for now please treat the April 4 deadline as extremely fluid.

A lot of people have been in touch via the Facebook group wanting to be involved, and the new life this has breathed into things means that closing things off in just over a month would be extremely foolish.

What I'm thinking for now is that the next month that ends with no further interest being voiced in Squealing Fans is the time the project will come to a close. I'm not going to call it an open-ended deadline as that's given a lot of people cause to simply put recording off, and then put it off some more.

By the time the deadline arrives, a flurry of more versions are expected in. At that point, people that aren't done, let me know where you're up to and how much longer you need.

Oh, poo. I've been procrastinating on Being Around for too long, and now it's gone and been redded! I've nearly finished my version, is it worth me submitting anyway?

Yep, as with the Ray tribute, we're well up for having alternate versions/bonus tracks on them.

Good. I'll try to get that to you by the end of the week, and I'll see if I can rustle up something else, too.

Is it OK if I post my rejected demos for my recording of Dawn Can't Decide on my website? They don't sound anything like the final version, so it shouldn't be a problem, but I thought I'd check just to make sure...
